I am really sorry that I pretended to have had something with a certain young lady for the sole purpose of winding you up. It was an act of tremendous and undeserved evil. It was also very funny, but that is no excuse. I know that it caused you as much consternation as it caused amusement for me and a reasonable number of other people. I hope you can forgive me and will retract your threats. If you feel it will help from a closure point-of-view, I will be happy to publish the entire conversation on this blog.

Please give me her number that I might apologise to her myself.
