IT is for girls. I am changing careers to finally indulge my life-long passion: Pret-a-Porter. Expect to see my spring collection causing a sensation in Milan next year. Pink being the next pink, I'm opening with my bold new campaign "Scarlicte", featuring everyday sports fabrics that have accidentally been dyed pink in the wash due to the inclusion of a large maroon sheet.
First up, the Scarlicte Lycra Trisuit. Ideal for rowing, paddling, or just wearing about the house and garden. Svelte, close-fitting and durable, it marries practicality with an undeniably iridescent je ne sais quoi.
Next the Scarlicte Secret Sock, shown here with a lemon. Soft, lightweight and sublimely mauve, this has 42.2km of comfort and sophistication written all over it. Notice how the colour intensifies towards the toe, suggesting a confluence of chakra at the meridians.

New camera?
Just the phone-cam. I know, I know, they do seem professionally shot. Remember, I used to be in hot demand as a part-time photographer back in Milan.
I thought you were a stomach model back then? Multi-talented, I see.
Orange Smoothie and I made a fair packet all over Europe, at least till we stopped waxing. And doing mostly stills for calendars and billboards allowed us time to explore other areas of the industry (Smoothie even did some backup-dancing for Take That once). But then you weren't doing too badly yourself in hosiery modelling - we envied all the catwalk time you got.
How did the purple shirt get purple if washed with red? Good idea, nonetheless. Thanks for visiting, too!

The reason the trisuit is now purple rather the pink or red, lies in the fact that several years back I washed it with my brand-new dark-purple Karate belt. That turned the white upper part a purplish grey, that then faded to an unassuming and pleasant silvery colour. I guess maroon + silver = strange new purple. My ex-digsmate has still not forgiven me for the outcome of that wash, which left most of his white socks and underwear pink. Though he still wears them, I'm told.
The Secret Sock is phenomenol, I was immediately drawn to the "confluence of chakra at the meridians." The lemon really accentuates the lovely gradations of pink and purple. Can't wait to see it strut down the runway.
Great blog, funny as hell. And, like you, I totally judge people by the taste in movies. Anybody who adores Cool Hand Luke is bound to be better than alright.
I am please to see the "right" sock was worn on the correct foot.
